Saint John police looking for man who allegedly failed to return to Dartmouth, N.S., correctional centre

The Saint John Police Force is looking for a convicted man who allegedly failed to report to a Dartmouth, N.S., correctional centre two months ago.

Police say Morris Lanceleve, 41, did not report to the Jamieson Community Correctional Centre as instructed, which breached the conditions of his statutory release. A warrant for him was issued on July 13, according to a news release from Saint John police.

Officers believe Lanceleve is in the Saint John area. He was last seen on Sept. 2 in a grey/silver Honda Accord.

Lanceleve is serving a two-year, 10-month and 26-day sentence for:

• assault – intentional use of force
• two counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes
• dangerous operation of a conveyance
• failure to stop after an accident
• operation while impaired
• operation causing bodily harm
• theft under $5,000
• five counts of failure to comply with conditions

Lanceleve is described as standing five-foot-nine and weighing 165 pounds. He has brown hair and a tattoo of a skull and green flames on his right upper arm and a skull at the centre of his back.
