Overnight parking ban declared for parts of Saint John

Heavy snowfall triggered a parking ban in Uptown Saint John.

A temporary overnight parking ban has been declared for parts of Saint John, N.B.

The ban will be in place for South/Central Peninsula beginning 11 p.m. Friday through to 7 a.m. Saturday.

No on-street parking will be allowed in the area at that time.

Any vehicles remaining on the street will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.

Three parking lots will be cleared for on-street parking residents to use beginning at 6 p.m. Friday:

• Peters Street
• Sydney Street (Service New Brunswick)
• Vulcan Street

Vehicles must be removed from the above parking lots by noon on weekends.

The Peel Plaza Parking Garage also offers a $5 overnight parking rate for nights when a parking ban is declared.
