N.B. RCMP looking for driver that struck cyclist, fled scene in Grand-Bay Westfield

Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck a cyclist and left the scene in Grand-Bay Westfield, N.B., last month.

The RCMP responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision on Nerepis Road, near the intersection of Sunnyside Drive, around 2 p.m. on May 21.

“A cyclist was travelling northbound when a vehicle struck her from behind and then fled the scene before police arrived,” said the RCMP in a news release Tuesday.

Investigators have been trying to identify the vehicle and driver involved and are now turning to the public for help.

They’re asking anyone who witnessed the collision, stopped at the scene, was driving in the area at the time, or has dashcam footage of the incident, to contact the Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP at 506-757-1020.
