Moncton man arrested after escaping custody at health institution in May: N.B. RCMP

A 28-year-old Moncton, N.B., man wanted by police for “escaping lawful custody” at a health institution has been arrested.

Codiac Regional RCMP previously said Jesse Bonnell was last seen on Macbeath Avenue in Moncton on May 21 around 9:05 p.m.

Police had warned the public not to approach him and call 911 immediately. They have since located Bonnell and are crediting the public.

“The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance and cooperation,” reads an updated news release on Friday.
