Woman sentenced to 30 months for drug trafficking in New Brunswick

A woman from Bloomfield, N.B., has been sentenced to 30 months in prison in connection to a drug trafficking investigation in Centreville, N.B.

The RCMP says its Federal Serious and Organized Crime (FSOC) unit seized around two kilograms of crystal methamphetamine from a business on Malenfant Boulevard in Dieppe on Feb. 23, 2022.

On March 2, 2022, police arrested a 21-year-old woman at a business on Burtt Street in Centreville. She was released pending a future court appearance.

On March 21, 2023, Bronwyn Barbara Thomas appeared in provincial court in Woodstock, where she was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine. She was later released pending another court appearance.

Thomas, now 24, was sentenced to 30 months in prison on Dec. 5. Once she is released, she will be subject to a 10-year weapons prohibition and will also be ordered to submit a DNA sample.
