New Brunswick political parties have leaped into campaign mode

FREDERICTON - Where the leaders are Saturday, Aug. 25, as the New Brunswick election campaign continues:

Liberals: Brian Gallant will make a platform commitment announcement at the Cocagne Marina, 130 Marina Rd., Cocagne, N.B., at 10:30 a.m. He is also expected to take part in Pride activities in the afternoon in Moncton.

Progressive Conservatives: Blaine Higgs won't be making campaign announcements. He is attending a funeral in the afternoon.

Greens: David Coon speaks to a group in front of the provincial legislature in Fredericton at 10:20 a.m. in recognition of the Rohingya Day of Action. At 1:30 p.m., he will be joined by candidates and volunteers in the Moncton Pride Parade. And at 2:30 p.m., he will take in the festivities at the Pride Park Fair at Riverfront Park, Moncton.

New Democrats: Jennifer McKenzie attends the Pride parade in Moncton at 1:30 p.m., then at 8:30 p.m. she attends the Moonlight Bazaar on Canterbury St., Saint John.

People's Alliance: Kris Austin attends the party's campaign kick-off at 6 p.m. at the Marysville Heritage Centre, 11 McGloin St., Fredericton.
