All-in-all, it’s a good-looking Thanksgiving forecast for the Maritimes. There will be some brisk nights and mornings, Saturday is cool and blustery, and some showers with the possibility of rain are expected for Monday. Here’s the forecast as served up from CTV News Atlantic meteorologist Kalin Mitchell. Saturday – Brisk and Blustery A ridge of high-pressure building in from the south makes Saturday an easy one for travel in the Maritimes. There will be a leaf-rustling wind though with afternoon gusts out of the northwest up to 50 km/h. Sunday – Crisp and Seasonable The high-pressure system shifts to a position further east of the Maritimes. That returns a southwest wind to the region with daytime highs recovering towards seasonable or just above. Another easy weather day on the roads. Monday – Showers Return, Possible Rain in Western Nova Scotia Monday is the day for change. A cold front dipping in from the north returns showers to New Brunswick, P.E.I., and Cape Breton afternoon into evening. The remnants of Isaias will bring increased cloudiness and a chance of rain or showers to southwestern Nova Scotia. The highest chance of rain is on the South Shore. Happy Thanksgiving!
