Calgary police say more charges have been laid against a local massage therapist after additional victims came forward with complaints. The Calgary Police Service (CPS) charged Yuriy Zhivov, 53, in July following an alleged incident that took place during an appointment with him at Kinesio Massage Therapy on 17 Avenue S.W. in August 2025. After releasing that information, police say four more victims have come forward, saying they were also assaulted by Zhivov. “As a result of the ongoing investigation, on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant at Kinesio Massage Therapy and arrested the suspect as well as seized cellular phones for forensic analysis,” CPS said in a news release. That investigation has brought four additional charges of sexual assault against Zhivov, bringing the total number of charges up to five. “In Canada, there is no time limit on reporting a sexual assault. Anyone who believes they are a victim of sexual assault is encouraged to report it, even if many years have passed since the incident,” CPS said. Anyone with information about this, or similar incidents, is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.
