New photos revealed by Kensington Palace show a newly-christened Princess Charlotte, swaddled in her christening robe, surrounded by her loving family, and soaking up the sun in the gardens at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate.

Kensington Palace shared official snapshots of the princess's christening on its Twitter account on Thursday.

Shot by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino, the images show the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte in the gardens at the Queen's Sandringham Estate.

In an intimate close-up photo, shot in the estate's drawing room, the Duchess gazes down at her two-month old daughter, who is wrapped in a handmade replica of the royal christening robe

A more formal portrait, taken indoors at the estate, shows members of the Royal Family and Middleton family, posing together after the ceremony.

Princess Charlotte's christening took place on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, a royal estate near England's eastern coast.

The ceremony was rich in tradition. The princess was baptized in the same church where Prince William's mother Diana was christened in 1961, she was transported in a vintage pram once used by the Queen, and guests were served christening cake made from a tier of the Duke and Duchess's four-year-old wedding cake.
