Prince George made his balcony debut Saturday wearing the same romper his father wore in 1984, as Queen Elizabeth II marked her ceremonial birthday.

Kensington Palace tweeted that the 23-month-old prince was sporting the exact same blue and white romper Prince William wore during the 1984 "Trooping the Colour" parade. The palace included a split screen image showing the two historical moments.

The palace also tweeted out another image showing other members of the royal family who made an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace over the years during the parade. The photo included an image of a young Prince Harry playfully sticking out his tongue.

Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 89th birthday in a private celebration on April 21, her actual birth date. The “Trooping the Colour” parade is held every year on a Saturday in June to publicly celebrate the birthday of the sovereign.

There was no sign of George's newborn sister, Princess Charlotte, at Saturday's parade.
