"I want to take a look one more time, I'm not going to see this again." - @BarackObama http://twitpic.com/bx607kNowThis News
One of the most shared passages on Twitter of Obama's inaugural speech had to do with the president's recognition of gay rights and the need for better equality. As of Monday afternoon,
the tweeted passage from @BarackObama's account had been retweeted more than 22,000 times. And the White House shared this infographic:

The president also referred to the Stonewall riots of 1969, when members of the gay community rioted again a police raid in Greenwich Village in New York City. The event is widely considered the catalyst for the gay liberation movement. But that wasn't all. Obama also mentioned the Selma to Montgomery, Albama march of 1965 which helped raise awareness of the difficulty faced by black voters in the South. Obama also mentioned the Seneca Falls convention, an early and influential women's rights convention which was key the begiining of the struggley by women for complete equality with men.

New York Daily News' Josh Greenman shared this photo of an article from the archives, with a disturbing headline:

Obama's daughters were also popular, with people observing how Sasha and Malia have grown since the first inauguration.

But Sasha couldn't escape being GIF'd after she was caught on camera yawning during her father's big speech. The yawn came after the line: "No single person can train all the math and science teachers we'll need to equip our children for the future, or build the roads and networks and research labs that will bring new jobs and businesses to our shores." The candid Sasha made the news on Sunday as well, after she congratulated her newly sworn-in dad by telling him: "Good job, Dad. You didn't mess up."

Of course, there were the inevitable 'photobombs.' Like this one of Bill Clinton peeking his head out a few rows behind pop star Kelly Clarkson, who sang 'Let Freedom Ring.'

And the Twitterverse went crazy with Vice President Joe Biden's enthusiasm towards Beyonce's stirring rendition of 'The Star Spangled Banner.'

While many praised James Taylor's performance of 'America the Beautiful', another popular topic of conversation was the appropriateness -- or inappropriateness -- of the fleece Taylor chose to keep warm in under his suit jacket.

The Twitterverse also seemed to be missing a meme-able moment, like the one that took social media by storm in the 2009 inauguration: Aretha Franklin's hat.
Lets be real, nothing could top Aretha Franklin's hat at the 2008 inauguration. http://pic.twitter.com/n54twlgUSherpasara
So what did people do? They created and shared their own versions of the
