It was busy a Thursday evening for the Winnipeg High School Football League as 16 teams hit the gridiron. Three of the eight games ended in shutouts, including the Dryden Eagles who beat the Churchill Bulldogs 21-0, the West Kildonan Wolverines who dominated the Garden City Gophers 50-0, and the St. Norbert Celtics who defeated the Daniel McIntyre Maroons 41-0. Other matchups saw the Kelvin Clippers secure a 28-8 win over the Windsor Park Royals and Murdoch MacKay Football gaining a 28-7 victory over the Grant Park Pirates. It was a high-scoring game for the Sisler Spartans who beat the Tec Vic Hornets 67-41, while the Miles Macdonell Buckeyes dominated the Sturgeon Heights Huskies 34-4. Lastly, the Oak Park Raiders more than doubled the Dakota Lancers with a 47-21 win. The matchups continue Friday evening with five games in the city.
