What Manitoba city appeared in Final Jeopardy this week?

Winnipeg was front and centre on the latest episode of Jeopardy! with a Winnie-the-Pooh-themed question.

For Thursday’s Final Jeopardy, in the category of literary origins, the contestants were asked ‘As a child, Christopher Robin Milne loved feeding a London Zoo animal whose former owner hailed from this city.’

Contestants Patrick Creech and Elizabeth Hurd got the answer wrong, replying Pink Hill, NC, and Australia, respectively. However, Canadian contestant James Hirsh came out victorious, winning his third episode in a row by answering ‘What is Winnipeg.”

Host Ken Jennings went on to explain that Winnie-the-Pooh was named for Winnie the bear for the City of Winnipeg.
