Urban Outfitters, Nine West coming to Winnipeg on heels of $49M Polo Park overhaul

CTV Winnipeg: $49M overhaul for Polo Park Rahim Ladhani on the plans to bring in new retailers to Polo Park in Winnipeg, including Urban Outfitters and Nine West.

Polo Park announced Tuesday retailer Anthropologie will be coming to Winnipeg along with a mix of other new retailers including Urban Outfitters, and Nine West.

With $49 million in renovations, Polo Park is looking to expand 114,000 square feet. Retailer H&M will lease 25,000 square feet of the new space.

The redevelopment construction work is expected to be finished in the fall of 2014.

The site will eventually host 23 new stores, with 17 of them slated to open on Oct. 1, while the remaining six will be ready next spring.

Some more stores on the list for additions to Polo Park include Fossil, Pandora and the Disney Store.

The names of some of the other retailers can't yet be released, said Polo Park officials.
