Two women dead following house fire: Winnipeg police

Two women have died following a house fire on Agnes Street over the weekend.

Two people died in a house fire on St. Matthews neighbourhood on Saturday.

On Sunday, Winnipeg police said out of three people who were transported to hospital in critical condition, two women – an 18 and a 48-year-old – died from their injuries.

Another person was upgraded to stable condition, police said.

The Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation.
