A section of Pembina Highway near the University of Manitoba will be temporarily closed next week to accommodate sewer work. According to the City of Winnipeg, the closures include southbound Pembina’s middle lane between University Crescent and Chancellor Drive, the northbound left turn from Pembina onto Chancellor, and the eastbound left turn from Chancellor onto Pembina. The closures will remain in effect from 7 p.m. on Sept. 7 until 7 a.m. on Sept. 8. The city notes these closures are in addition to existing traffic restrictions on Pembina. Drivers are advised to plan ahead, use alternate routes and expect delays.
