RCMP searching for suspect of attempted break and enter

The Manitoba RCMP is searching for a suspect following an attempted break and enter in Beausejour, Man., at the end of last month.

According to police, the incident occurred on March 29 around 2:25 a.m. at a home in the 800 block of Ashton Avenue.

Mounties allege the homeowners heard loud noises and saw a man trying to break the front door. Police said the suspect noticed the homeowners and then ran away.

RCMP officers, a drone operator and a police dog service came to the scene but could not find the suspect.

Through further investigation and review of surveillance video, officers identified the suspect as Jacob Ashe. He is wanted for break and enter, mischief and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.

Ashe is described as five-foot-eleven in height, 185 pounds with red hair and blue eyes.

Mounties warn that if you spot the suspect, do not approach and call 911.

Anyone with information on Ashe’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 204-268-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
