Multiple Manitoba schools closed due to poor driving conditions

As several communities across southern Manitoba recover from Tuesday’s major snowfall, some schools are closed and buses are cancelled for Wednesday.

The following is a list of school and bus closures for Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025:

Brandon School Division: buses will not be operating outside of Brandon, though they will be running within the city. Alexander and O’Kelly Schools are open on Wednesday, while Spring Valley School is closed.

Brandon School Division asks that parents and students check with schools to see if the cancellations impact any field trips.

The division adds that attendance at school is at parental discretion if travel is required but asks that you call the school if you won’t be attending.

Beautiful Plains School Division: No buses are running. All schools are open.

Border Land School Division: Western Region schools, including Altona, Gretna, Rosenfeld, RVS and Emerson, are closed.

Division scolaire franco-manitobaine: Buses are cancelled for École Saint-Lazare, Nore-Dame de Lourdes, Saint-Jean-Baptiste, La Source.

Garden Valley School Division: All schools are closed on Wednesday due to poor road conditions, especially in rural areas.

Fort La Bosse School Division: All schools are closed.

Park West School Division: All Park West buses are cancelled but schools are open.

Prairie Spirit School Division: All schools are closed and buses are not running.

Rolling River School Division: Buses are cancelled and colony schools are closed. All community schools are open.

Southwest Horizon School Division: Buses and classes are cancelled.

Turtle Mountain School Division: Buses and classes are cancelled.
