RCMP are searching for witnesses after a man was struck and killed on a Manitoba roadway. Mounties in Cross Lake say the collision was reported Saturday just after midnight on Island Park Drive near Beardy’s Point in Pimicikamak Cree Nation, Man. Police arrived on scene to find a 43-year-old man from the community with life-threatening injuries. Emergency medical crews transported him to the community’s nursing station, where he was pronounced dead. According to RCMP, witnesses reported that a pickup truck had struck the man earlier and failed to remain at the scene. Mounties ask anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision to contact Cross Lake RCMP at 204-676-2600.
