Funeral director joins Winnipeg mayoral race

Mike Vogiatzakis has entered the race to be Winnipeg’s next mayor.

Another candidate is throwing their hat into the ring to be Winnipeg’s next mayor.

Funeral director Mike Vogiatzakis is now officially registered as a candidate in the upcoming mayoral election.

Vogiatzakis made the announcement on social media, saying his campaign will focus on a wide range of issues, including public safety, transit, and affordability.

He joins two other previously registered candidates—grocery clerk Christopher Clacio, who ran in 2022, and Mayor Gillingham, who is seeking re-election.
