The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has seized more than $3.6 million worth of contraband tobacco and nicotine products in Point Edward, Ont. On Sept. 9, 16.147 kilograms of bulk tobacco was seized from a commercial driver coming from the U.S. at the Blue Water Bridge. This seizure was worth $2.9 million. The next day, border officials seized 4,992 kilograms of tobacco products and 500 nicotine vapes from another commercial driver coming from the U.S. The second seicure was worth more than $620,000. The two drivers are Canadian residents, the CBSA confirmed. The investigations are ongoing.
