Police said speed was a factor in a motorcycle crash that sent a 54-year-old man to hospital on Thursday. The crash was reported at 6:24 p.m. on the Henday near 127 Street, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services said on Thursday. In a Friday update, Edmonton police said the man was riding a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control of the bike just after the underpass. The rider laid down the motorcycle and both he and the bike slid down the road. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remained there as of Friday. Police said speed was a factor in the crash. The crash resulted in the temporary closure of two westbound lanes of the Henday at Campbell Road.
