City crews to begin plowing Winnipeg streets Sunday

The City of Winnipeg is starting its snowplow operation Sunday morning.

In a media release, the city said the operation will start at 7 a.m. to plow streets, sidewalks and pathways.

“We will schedule our work based on the street priority system. Motorists should drive to conditions and use extreme caution when near heavy equipment,” the release said.

The city reminded residents that the annual winter route parking ban is in effect. Residents can check parking restrictions and upcoming snow operation by using the Know Your Zone app or signing up for email notifications.
