Bothwell Cheese products recalled over listeria contamination possibility

A nationwide recall has been issued for several cheese products due to possible listeria contamination – including Bothwell Cheese.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a food recall warning for seven brands’ cheese products on Thursday.

A 400-gram and a one-kilogram shredded three cheese nacho blend from Bothwell Cheese were mentioned out of 40 products.

The agency said listeria contamination may not look or smell spoiled, but can still make people sick. Symptoms include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches and others.

The CFIA is advising the public not to consume, use, sell, serve or distribute the recalled products. The full list of products can be found online.
