Blowing, drifting snow closes Transcona Cemetery

The City of Winnipeg has closed the Transcona Cemetery because of blowing and drifting snow.

The city plans to re-open the cemetery Friday, January 27.

In a release, the city said Brookside and St. Vital Cemeteries remain open but they urge people to use caution when visiting the facilities.

The city plans to have crews clear all three cemeteries on Boxing Day if weather permits.
