WWE show comes to Windsor for first time

World Wrestling Entertainment superstars are coming to the WFCU Centre for their first ever show in Windsor.

WWE Live takes place Saturday, Sept. 7. Tickets for the general public will go on sale on July 13 at 10:00 a.m. Holiday Inn Cyber Club members have access to a pre-sale on July 12.

"This will be the largest-scale wrestling event we've ever hosted, with a production value to match,” says Jason Toner, WFCU Centre general manager of events. “Adding to that a roster of WWE Superstars that are known worldwide, this will be an event that families won't want to miss."

WFCU Centre officials say fans have been asking for a WWE event since the arena opened its doors in 2008.

The lineup of superstars for WWE Live, ticket prices and other event information will be released at a later date.
