Windsor Transit launches updates Sunday ahead of busy season

Funding sought to help Transit Windsor

Transit riders will be able to access updated routes, bus stops and route names across digital platforms beginning Sunday.

With 20,000 additional service hours, Transit Windsor begins its busiest season in September.

Printed copies of the updated Transit Rider Guides are available on all city buses, and the downtown Windsor International Transit Terminal, all public libraries and all City of Windsor Customer Care Community Centres.

Riders needing a new card must visit the Downtown Windsor International Transit Terminal and provide government ID to purchase one.

The terminal is open Labour Day from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for those needing to renew or purchase a card.

Windsor Transit offers several tips to a smooth commute, including planning your route the night before, allowing extra time during peak hours, use apps and online tools to track your bus in real time, use headphones and be courteous.
