CTV Windsor Meteorologist Gary Archibald provides a look at what to expect this Spring.

Spring is here! After a cold, snowy winter, nicer weather has arrived.

CTV Windsor Meteorologist Gary Archibald has put together a Spring outlook, talking about what we can expect.

“March so far has been rather wild. Very tough last two weeks,” said Archibald.

“We’ve seen record-setting temperature highs in the low 20s, then within 24 hours, we’ve seen drastic drops in temperatures, along with active weather producing snow squalls, even freezing rain, then thunderstorm activity, all with one particular system.”

Archibald said projection show as we continue into April, it’s likely to remain cool across southwestern Ontario.

“Periods of warm and cold are expected, rain and snow and that wintry mix type, which is also a Springtime mix,” he said.

“We could see some early Spring light thunderstorm activity as well.”

Here’s a look at what to expect heading into next week:

Saturday: Cloudy. High 9 C.

Saturday night: Clearing late in the evening. Low 7 C, rising to 10 C by morning.

Sunday: Cloudy with 60 per cent chance of showers. High 14 C.

Sunday night: Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers. Low 0 C.

Monday: Cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of flurries. High 4 C.

Monday night: Clear. Low -4 C.

Tuesday: Cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers. High 7 C.
