What you need to know about the 2026 Detroit Auto Show

The 2026 Detroit Auto Show is gearing up with a full slate of major automotive brands, immersive indoor tracks, and luxury vehicle exhibits.

The media preview kicked off on Wednesday, but the event is open for everyone to tour the floor at the public show from Jan. 17 – Jan. 25.

“The minute visitors walk through the doors, they’ll feel the energy as they’re welcomed by more brands, more cars, more immersive experiences, and awesome digital activations that appeal to all ages and across generations,” said 2026 Detroit Auto Show Chairman Todd Szott.

What to Expect

• Vehicle brands: There will be 41 brands on display, including everything from popular mainstream nameplates and uber-luxury marques to exotic supercars and award-winning vehicles.
• Interactive displays: Indoor tracks for EV, hybrid, and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, plus Camp Jeep and Ford Bronco off-road experiences.
• Luxury cars: Considered the show’s signature luxury automotive experience, The Gallery Fundraiser kicks off the 2026 Detroit Auto Show on Jan. 13.  More than two dozen ultra-luxury and performance vehicles are featured at the ticketed event with proceeds benefitting Forgotten Harvest.  The showcase is exhibited throughout the Detroit Auto Show.
• The “Detroit Auto Show: Route 66 Centennial Exhibition” experience a part of history melding America’s love affair with automobiles and 100 years of the Mother Road. A collaboration between the Detroit Auto Show, America’s Automotive Trust, and the Route 66 Centennial Commission, the exhibit will showcase classic and modern Route 66-inspired vehicles.
• Technology: The AutoMobili-D component showcases future mobility platforms and innovations.
• Events: Mobility Global Forum (industry talks), Charity Preview gala, concerts, DJs, and autograph sessions with athletes/celebrities.

• Seniors (65+): US$15.
• Children (3-12): US$10.
• Family Pass: US$60 (2 adults, 3 kids).

• Detroit-Windsor Tunnel or Ambassador Bridge border crossings: Tolls apply
• Public Transit: Detroit People Mover and QLine.
• Parking: Can be pre-booked via SpotHero for Huntington Place.
• Linq Tunnel Bus: Service runs from Windsor, check online for schedule.
