Essex County OPP officers have charged two people with impaired driving after separate incidents in Lakeshore. On Friday at 10:17 p.m., police investigated a traffic complaint on County Road 22 near West Puce Road. A 44-year-old resident of Stoney Point was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Liquor Licence Control Act offences: In a separate case on Friday at 11:22 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on County Road 27 near Baseline Road. A 32-year-old Woodslee woman was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code, Liquor Licence Control Act and Cannabis Control Act offences: Both drivers were scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on Oct. 9, 2026, to answer to the charges. The drivers received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
