Tips increase for Windsor and Essex County Crime Stoppers in 2025

Windsor and Essex County Crime Stoppers is releasing its statistics for 2025, including an increase in tips over the past year.

Here are some of the notable statistics from 2025:

• Tips received: 1720 tips (220 more tips than 2024)
• Weapons seized: 6
• Arrests: 57
• Value of drugs seized: $750,000
• Charges laid: 129
• Recovered stolen property: $76,000
• Cases Cleared: 117

Breakdown of the tips received:

• 37% received through our telephone number
• 45% received through Catch Crooks website.
• 6% received through the Crime Stoppers app P3tips.com.
• 12% Other (other agencies etc.)

Is there a more effective method of providing a tip to Crime Stoppers?

“Whatever a tipster feels the most comfortable is the best practice. However, the website and app, tipsters can include images, video and dash cam footage,” said Crime Stoppers coordinator Rick Surette.
