Windsor police have charged a theft suspect after quickly arriving on scene and arresting the man following a brief foot pursuit. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Marentette Avenue after a homeowner saw a suspect enter a vehicle and rummage through the centre console shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday. Police say officers arrived on scene within one minute and located the suspect running into a nearby alley. Officers chased after him on foot and arrested him shortly thereafter. During a search of the suspect, officers say they found a SIN card and a pair of prescription eyeglasses which were reported stolen after a separate incident in September 2025.
