Teen stabbed after group of youths ‘arranged to meet for a fight’: WPS

Charges have been laid against two youths in a west Windsor stabbing that took place Tuesday.

Windsor police have arrested two youths after an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the west end.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Huron Church Road and Tecumseh Road West shortly after 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Once on scene, officers say they learned that a group of youths had arranged to meet for a fight. During the altercation, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed an 18-year-old man.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers quickly identified, located, and arrested two suspects in connection with the incident.

Two youths, who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have each been charged with:

• Assault with a weapon

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

The investigation remains ongoing.
