Windsor police officers have arrested three teen boys for allegedly stealing a vehicle and driving recklessly. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle theft in the 2500 block of College Avenue shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday. Through investigation, officers learned that the suspects worked together to steal the victim’s keys from a locker room before finding the vehicle in a nearby parking lot and driving away. Later that day, around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of reckless driving in the 1000 block of Brock Street. Officers found the vehicle in the 3500 block of Wells Street and confirmed it was the same car stolen that morning. Police then arrested the three youth suspects. The suspects, two 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy, who can’t be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have been charged with: • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 • Theft of a motor vehicle • Theft under $5,000 Anyone with information is asked to call the Target Base Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4350.
