Structural engineer examines Ambassador Bridge, three streets closed

A structural engineer hired by the City of Windsor took a closer look at the Ambassador Bridge on Wednesday.

Concrete debris has been falling from the bridge and the city has closed Wyandotte Street under the bridge since last Friday.

Officials also closed Donnelly Street and Peter Street on Wednesday.

The engineer is doing a visual inspection from underneath the bridge.

The city says since the bridge is private property the inspector is not allowed to touch the bridge or go on it.
