St. Clair Saints hope for undefeated season

The St. Clair Saints football team is hoping for an undefeated regular season as it comes to a close this weekend.

The St. Clair Saints football team is trying to finish their season undefeated, as they wrap up football season Saturday night.

Quarterback Matt Guenette is leading the way this season, throwing more touchdown passes than all quarterbacks in the Ontario Football Conference combined.

At 29 passes, he needs three more to four more to break the league’s long-standing record of 32 touchdown passes. The record was set by Jason Hayes back in the early 90’s.

“It’s a huge thing to break the OFC record. I’m very excited to possibly be able to do it, but at the end of the day, I want to win the game and go for it,” said Guenette.

“And I’m just winning a record. It’s about winning the championship and then moving on after that.”
