Chatham-Kent police say multiple people were injured, including one with life-threatening injuries, after a crash. On Thursday at 8:13p.m., officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Communication Road in Chatham-Kent. The investigation revealed that a single vehicle, operated by a 33-year-old man from Chatham, lost control before leaving the roadway. There were two other occupants in the vehicle, a 25-year-old man from Blenheim and a 16 year-old girl from Chatham. Both passengers sustained injuries, with one suffering life threatening injuries. The passengers were transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical treatment. The 16-year-old passenger was later transported to Victoria Hospital in London for further medical care. Due to the severity of the collision and the injuries sustained, members of the Traffic Management Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Communication Road was closed for several hours but has since been reopened. The investigation remains ongoing.
