Jury selected in Windsor, Ont. murder trial

The jury has been selected in the trial of Malique Calloo, who is accused of shooting Daniel Squalls in 2022.

Jury selection is complete in a Windsor murder trial.

Daniel Squalls, 24, was shot and killed on Nov. 28, 2022.

It happened in the area of Hanna Street and Parent Avenue.

Malique Calloo, 30, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.

The Crown attorney is expected to begin with an opening statement Wednesday morning.

As the trial is before a jury, the media is prohibited from reporting any details on the case which the jurors have not heard, including any previously reported facts.
