Driver charged after pickup truck crash on Highway 401 in Chatham

OPP say one person was injured after a pick-up truck crash on Highway 401 at Communications Road in Chatham-Kent.

At 8:55 a.m. on Monday, Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Chatham Kent Police, Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 401 at Communications Road.

Officers say the driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, 61-year-old from the Township of Rideau Lakes, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Careless Driving.
