Frost risk overnight as cooler weather settles over Windsor-Essex

A mix of sun, cloud and cooler temperatures is expected across Windsor-Essex through the end of the week.

Environment Canada says Wednesday will begin cloudy, with a 30 per cent chance of showers early in the morning before skies clear later in the day. Winds are expected to become northwest at 20 km/h in the afternoon, with a high of 12 C and a UV index of 6, considered high.

Cloud cover will return overnight, with winds becoming light and temperatures dropping to a low of 2 C. There is also a risk of frost.

Thursday is expected to be sunny to start, with increasing cloudiness near noon and a 30 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon. Winds will shift to the west at 20 km/h late in the morning, with a high of 13 C and a UV index of 5, or moderate.

Cloudy periods will continue Thursday night with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a low of 4 C.

Looking ahead to Friday, skies are expected to remain cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 14 C. The overnight low will dip to 3 C.

Conditions are expected to improve slightly by Saturday, with a mix of sun and cloud and a 40 per cent chance of showers. The high is forecast to reach 19 C.
