15-year-old charged in sexual assault of young girls: WPS

A 15-year-old boy has been charged after two girls were sexually assaulted and a third was physically assaulted, according to the Windsor police.

Just after 12 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called with a report of a sexual assault at a home in the 1500 block of Moy Avenue.

Officers said three girls, ages 11, 13, and 16, met a 15-year-old boy at Lanspeary Park and went with the suspect to the home. Once at the home, the suspect allegedly forcibly gave the victims alcohol and sexually assaulted the 11-year-old.

The 16-year-old, who the Windsor Police Service was heavily impaired, was allegedly taken to a separate room and sexually assaulted. Police said when the 13-year-old tried to intervene, the suspect allegedly pushed her out of the room and locked the door.

The other two girls reportedly intervened eventually, leading to all three victims escaping. A witness who saw the girls called the police.

The suspect was identified and arrested at a park near Hall Avenue and Shepherd Avenue.

The boy is facing the following charges:

• Two counts of sexual assault
• Sexual interference
• Forcible confinement
• Three counts of assault

A 37-year-old woman was also arrested and charged with obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest. Both arrested cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
