Woman seriously injured after assault in Surrey park, police say

A woman was assaulted and seriously injured in a Surrey park earlier this week, according to authorities.

Officers were called to a “disturbance” in Holland Park around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, the Surrey Police Service said in a statement.

“Upon arrival, officers located a female victim who had allegedly been assaulted. The victim was taken to an area hospital,” the statement said.

No additional details were provided.
