The list of candidates running in the Oct. 24 provincial election has been finalized. Elections BC released the full list of candidates Sunday morning and issued a statement listing the number being fielded by each party. “There are 355 candidates for the 2026 Provincial General Election, with 340 representing ten political parties, and 15 candidates running as independent or unaffiliated,” the statement said. The B.C. Conservatives are the only party represented in all of the province’s 93 ridings while the B.C. NDP will be running candidates in 92. The B.C. Green Party has nominated 73 candidates. OneBC and CentreBC—parties that emerged after the 2024 election—are running 33 and 35 candidates, respectively. The full candidate list by riding is available online.
