A 75-year-old man who was found critically injured on Canada Day died in hospital earlier this month, and homicide investigators have issued an appeal for information in the case. Officers with the Langley RCMP were called to the area of Park Avenue and Douglas Crescent around 9:50 p.m. on July 1 for reports of a man “in distress,” authorities said in a statement Wednesday. The man, who is being identified as Larry Greig, died in hospital on July 9, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. “Investigation to date suggests Mr. Greig became involved in a physical altercation shortly after leaving a licensed establishment,” IHIT spokesperson Sgt. Freda Fong said, in a statement. IHIT released surveillance images showing four people who were in the area at the time, and said investigators are hoping to speak with them in an attempt to further the investigation.
