Surrey home hit by early morning gunfire, police say

Surrey police were on scene after shots were fired at a home on June 11, 2026.

Shots were fired at a home in Surrey early Thursday morning, according to authorities.

Officers were called to the scene near the intersection of 96 Avenue and 133A Street around 6:07 a.m., the Surrey Police Service said in a statement.

“Upon arrival, police located damage caused by gunfire to the exterior of the residence. The residence was occupied at the time of the shots fired and fortunately no one was injured,” the statement from the department said.

The motive for the shooting has not yet been determined, but police said it is believed to have been “targeted.”
