Pedestrian, dog dead after being struck by train in Langley

Police are investigating after a person was struck and killed by a train in Langley on Jan. 29, 2026.

Mounties in Langley are investigating after a person and a dog were struck and killed by a train Thursday morning.

Police were called to the scene near the intersection of Glover and Billy Brown roads around 7:45 a.m., a statement from the Langley RCMP said.

“Front-line officers immediately responded to the area and located an individual who had been struck by the train,” the statement from the detachment said.

“Despite life saving efforts the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene.”

Drivers were being asked to avoid the area.
