Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash with semi-truck in Langley

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a semi-truck in Langley Friday afternoon.

The Langley RCMP says first responders were called to the crash around 4:25 p.m. in the 2400 block of 216 Street.

“The motorcyclist was transported to a local area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” Sgt. Zynal Sharoom said, in a statement Saturday.

B.C. Emergency Health Services told CTV News it sent three ground ambulances and one air ambulances to the scene, and paramedics airlifted one patient to hospital in critical condition.

The area around 216 Street and 24 Avenue was closed for several hours while collision analysts investigated.

Police asked anyone who witnessed the crash to call the Langley detachment at 604-532-3200.
