Michael Buble's son doing 'well' following cancer treatment

Michael Buble's son completes cancer treatments Michael Buble and his wife are feeling cautiously optimistic about the health prospects for their son Noah.

A Canadian crooner and his actress wife say they're looking forward to watching their children grow now that their toddler's cancer treatments are over.

His family says Noah, the three-year-old son of Michael Buble and Luisana Lopilato, is "well" after receiving treatment in Los Angeles.

Lopilato provided the optimistic update while speaking at a news conference in her native Argentina on Monday.

"My son's recovery is a long process as you all know, and he has to continue with checkups," she told reporters in Spanish.

"But we are very happy. We are looking forward to thinking about the future, to seeing our children grow."

Lopilato said it was difficult for her to talk about and that she was still sensitive about the subject, but said Noah's diagnosis changed her.

"Now I value life much more, the 'now' and the 'today,'" she said.

"I became strong so my son would get better. I transmitted that to all my friends and family."

She credited her faith in God and the love and support she received, even from strangers, for helping her get through the stress.

"The love is daily, when people stop me in the street. It's wonderful to know that you're accompanied in life and that people love you."

The family first announced Noah was battling cancer in November, but did not say what type or when he was diagnosed.

Buble has largely put his career on hold since his son's diagnosis. The Burnaby, B.C. singer cancelled a scheduled concert tour, and put off hosting the Brit Awards and the Junos earlier this year.

The family is currently in Buenos Aires, and are expected to return to the Lower Mainland when construction on their Burnaby home is complete.

Buble and Lopilato have another son, Elias, who just turned one.
