Man dead after stabbing on Vancouver’s Granville Street, police say

A man was killed Monday afternoon in the Granville Entertainment district, amplifying crime concerns from businesses in the area.

Authorities are investigating after a man was killed in downtown Vancouver on Monday afternoon.

The Vancouver Police Department said officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the area of Granville and Helmcken streets around 3:15 p.m.

The victim—whose identity has yet to be confirmed—later died in hospital, police said.

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident, which marked the city’s 25^th homicide of the year.
