The cameras will soon be rolling in Lower Lonsdale. Drivers in the North Vancouver neighbourhood will notice some traffic delays and road closures on Sunday (Oct. 5) to make way for film crews. Production crews will be filming scenes of a vehicle convoy and American police vehicles along Low Level Road and East 3rd Street from 1 to 7 p.m., the City of North Vancouver said in a statement. Starting at 1 p.m. crews will begin filming several police vehicles travelling east on Low Level Road from St. Andrews Avenue. The set’s vehicles will be escorted by RCMP. This filming route will impact traffic but not stop it completely. Regular traffic should resume in the area by 4 p.m. After, East 3rd Street will be closed eastbound from Moody Avenue from 4 to 7 p.m. Production crews will film multiple police vehicles and a police roadblock along the road. The city said the police roadblock will divert the police cars onto Heywood Street and end at East Keith Road. Buses, emergency vehicles or first responders will still be able to go through East 3rd Street, the city said. Traffic control will be on site to help buses through the area. The city cautions road users to plan ahead and expect delays. Regular traffic is expected to resume by 7 p.m. Abby Luciano is the Indigenous and civic affairs reporter for the North Shore News.
